TOUR 7. History of Earth Development, Fossils and Prehistoric Caves

In this tour, we would like to give you the opportunity to become acquainted with the evolution of the Earth during the last 60 million years. You will also visit a replica of a prehistoric caves and the Loyola Sanctuary, monumental and religious complex that belongs to the Jesuit Order.
The tour will begin with a drive towards Zumaia where we will go to the Interpretation Center, which will help you to better understand what you will see later from the cliff. Then we walk to the San Telmo Chapel, from where you will be able to enjoy impressive views of the wild coast and where you can see the fantastic Flish phenomenon on the ground.
Back to the car, you will be driven to Cestona, but we will stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the fantastic view of the wild coast and the endless ocean.
In Cestona we will enter the replica of the prehistoric cave. During the visit of the cave you will see the cave paintings, an exact copy of the original images that are protected from the public and you can hear stories of our ancestors.
At the end of the tour we will be driven to Azpeita, where you will have the opportunity to visit the enchanting religious complex built around the house of the saint Ignacio de Loyola.
After that we will start our return to San Sebastian.
You will arrive back in San Sebastian, around 17 o’clock.
